Preview // 2018 Street League Skateboarding World Championships

Season Quick Recap

The Street League Skateboarding tour, a skateboarding street-style competition founded by Rob Dyrdek in 2010, started the 2018 season with the London Pro Open at the Copper Box Arena. Stop One took us to Los Angeles at the Galen Center. Stop Two continued to the exciting new Vans Off The Wall Skatepark in Huntington Beach. All events resulted with Yoto Horigome on top of the podium, who has been CRUSHING each course with the likes of Nyjah Houston, Shane O’neill and Zion Wright chasing from behind.

The SLS World Championships

The tour will bring it’s qualifiers to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the finale of the 2018 season. The Carioca Arena will host January 11-13, 2019 and include the top Women in their own championship as well. The three day format will start with 30 skaters and ending with only 8 on the final day. The top 4 ranked SLS pros will be seeded directly in the Super Crown Final. See picture below for more info on this year’s format.
